CranioSacral Therapy (CST)
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was developed over 35 years ago by an Osteopathic Physician. It addresses issues within the nervous system and related structures. Very gentle in nature, CST facilitates a healing process that allows the body to self-correct.
Conditions that can be helped by CST include, but are not limited to: Headaches & Migraines, Neck & Back pain, Scoliosis, TMJ Syndrome, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Central Nervous System Disorders, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Optical issues, Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion Syndrome, Breastfeeding issues, Colic & Acid Reflux, Birth trauma, and Post-partum depression.
Unwinding Meridians: Applying Acupuncture Principles to CST (UMAC)
UMAC is a growing branch of CranioSacral Therapy. It explores the connections between the CranioSacral System, organs, emotions, and other facets of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Five Element Theory.
Unwinding acupuncture meridians and points with gentle touch during a CranioSacral session can profoundly enhance the benefits of CST and allows us to pinpoint dysfunction in various energy systems. UMAC is an enhancement to any CranioSacral Session, but it can be especially helpful with the following: Long-standing or chronic issues, recovery from trauma/injury/surgery, Anxiety, Hormonal imbalances, Life changes, Optical issues, and PTSD.
Distance Work or Remote Healing
Distance work, or remote healing, offers tremendous benefits to clients. At Aspen Grove Wellness PLLC, the techniques, principles and palpation skills learned from CST/UMAC coursework and practice are employed from a distance. Clients receive many benefits without ever needing to leave the comfort of their own home. This can be helpful if a client is homebound for any reason, lives too far to travel to the therapist, wants to accelerate their healing sessions, or is sensitive to energetic shifts. Clients who have experienced in-person treatments and distance work agree that many more aspects to their healing can be addressed during the distance appointments. Sessions are scheduled just like office visits and are conducted over the phone.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or Tapping, was founded in the mid-1990’s. It’s a self-applied technique that calms the brain’s fearful responses to stress allowing clients to experience the stressor without the emotional, physical, or energetic disturbance.
EFT is a simple approach that’s proven helpful for pain management, stress reduction, anxiety, depression, PTSD, phobias, cravings, addictions, recovery from physical/emotional traumas, and boosting athletic performance, and more.
Sacred Soaks Bath Salts
Sacred Soaks is a line of custom-blended bath salts. Prior to creating each batch, Mary will discuss with the client the areas in which they would like to experience healing or wellness. Based on that conversation, she will enter into meditation and listen for the intention and appropriate ingredients for that blend. While maintaining a prayerful state, she blends the ingredients and holds space for the client while energetically infusing the salts with the intention. There are no pre-mixed soaks or mass-produced products. Each batch is a one of a kind creation custom made for each client’s needs. Sacred Soaks are a great addition to any therapeutic process or simply a heart-felt way to reconnect to Oneness.
Far-infrared Sauna Chinese and Japanese researchers and clinicians have been studying infrared treatments for over 30 years and have found many healing benefits to the technology. It can be helpful in cases of arthritis, sciatica, back pain, injuries, post-operative recovery, bursitis, fatigue, rheumatism, and more. Some consider this treatment as sanctuary, a place of stillness and rest. Most people feel invigorated yet relaxed after a session.
